One of the best ever films about Viet Nam. Advisory Command in Vietnam and not the full-blown war we are all used to. This exceptional, totally deromanticized and unjustly forgotten knockout got undeservedly lost in the shuffle in the late 70's when it had the grave misfortune to come out around the same time as such more widely recognized 'Nam features "The Deer Hunter," "Coming Home," and "Apocalpyse Now." This film never received the attention it deserved when originally released. Just below that it reads "Ticket Confirmation#:" followed by a 10-digit number. The story is told in a very entertaining and well-paced fashion while sustaining a feeling of tension. The Virtual Fantastic Fest Celebration of 2020 Go tell the Spartans is a really honest and straightforward film with some interesting dialogue, particularly on the part of Burt Lancaster, who is really a top-notch actor.
