I tried to be unbiased while reading it as she's hands down my favorite author...but this book was honestly just good. That's what this novel did to me. The main character Lottie is made to be very likable, but honestly I feel like she could have been a little more "flawed" to be more relatable and realistic. There definitely could have been more to those last few pages but it just kind of dropped you suddenly.
Elizabeth D. Michaels began writing at the age of sixteen, immersing herself ever since in the lives created by her vivid imagination. Her best friend Maggie was also a very interesting character and I was left wanting to know a lot more about her.

I thought it seemed like it reflected the attitudes in the country at the time. This book was re-released under the title The Forbidden Lady so my review is actually of that version. Howard Schultz and Rajiv Chandrasekaran are a formidable team. It was a great romance.

If so this historical romance may be for you. I haven't read a Kerrelyn Sparks book that was a historical romance before, I'm a huge fan of her Love At Stake vampire series and have been for yrs. and worrying about nothing more than making the perfect match.
