When I saw articles that Dolph Lundgren was to play the main lead in a horror I was sceptic. It;'s a really long speech and every time you think the cops have him out of the room, he powers his way in, with the cops still holding on to him. 92 customer ratings. The point is that Lundgren is pretty great in this movie and his charm and wit help carry the movie past its weaker moments.
Being typecast in a certain type of role or genre doesn't make you a bad actor. This is very similar to the movie "The First Power" with Lou Diamond Phillips but, with a different perspective/twist.
It ended up being a bit of a non-issue, since it's now 7:50 am and I started writing the review around 9:15 pm. He gets the girl in classic hero fashion, except she’s a hooker and he just wasn’t smart enough to realize it. It wasn't perfect, by any means, and Dolph Lundgren carries this film, but, I was kept entertained. So Jebediah (Lundgren), tells her that this demon wants to possess her body so it can be even more powerful than it is now.
He was great in this. Enter, Dolph Lundgren, aka Jebediah Woodley.

Mendez and Lundgren are obviously having so much fun, you can’t help but want to join in.
I bought this film for one dollar at a nearby dollar store. It doesn’t even seem to occur to him that he just cost an innocent man his life. The demon is just a relentless killing machine. and the Terms and Policies, Gory has hell. I'm starting to write this review, probably, like 20 minutes prior to watching tonight's movie, so I doubt I'm gonna get it done in time. Purpose fulfilled! I feel like if they had trimmed some of the fat, this would have gotten a higher rating from me.
It’s a clever setup, somewhere between a feature length Supernatural episode and Fallen, but without the trappings of a classy thriller. Mendez works in beats of twisted comedy throughout the film, always taking his macho-man hero down a peg.

But let's backtrack and talk about a movie with Dolph Lundgren in the main role.
I believe the idea about Lundgren's perception as an actor, if there is one, is that because he's spent most of his career appearing in shitty action movies, most of which headed straight to video, that he must be a terrible actor. The thing is that this movie is something like 80 minutes long, without credits, so for that to have been an issue is disconcerting.
Or something. Acting was fine, sets were fine, nothing bad to say at all.
I recommend this to fans of the horror/splatter genre.
In just seconds at the beginning, the "hunter" carries his rifle two different ways in what is supposed to be "the same scene," and immediately following, he kills his family with not that rifle but a shotgun. Don’t Kill It strikes a perfect tone for this sort of fare – it fully knows how silly it is, and it revels in it, but it also steers clear of pithy self-awareness. 3.5 out of 5.
For the most part, I thought Seagal was tremendous in Machete.
Thankfully Don't Kill It, is inspired, clever and actually well directed.
Anyone hoping for more than a VOD time-killer that's occasionally in on the joke of its own ridiculousness is barking up the wrong tree.

The idea was really cool and the acting was actually pretty good considering. Grizzled demon hunter Jebediah Woodley (an energetic and engaging performance by Dolph Lundgren) reluctantly joins forces with FBI agent Evelyn Pierce (a spunky and appealing portrayal by Kristina Klebe) to fight a savage demonic force that runs amuck by posing the bodies of various people in the small Southern town of Chickory Creek. A peripatetic demon turns a small town into a slaughterhouse in this brisk and very bloody supernatural thriller. There are still some flaws, but if you're a horror nerd then I'd say that this definitely deserves a watch. Coming Soon. Until the father shows up and shoots him in the head, narrowly saving his daughter’s life. All that out-of-the-way for Gore fans this is just a really fun dumb(but not too dumb) movie to enjoy.

It been such a long time since i enjoy a good Dolph Lundgren movie that not staring him as a one man army but instead a sleazy demon hunter in this movie Don't Kill It.For a B-movie this is the best example you could get with a horrible script full of plot holes and corny dialogues,a ton of bloody gory action screen enough to satisfied any horror fan out there.Beside all that the rest of the cast also did a fantastic job when they introduce many interesting and wacky characters with the highlight is the on-screen charm of Dolph Lundgren and Kristina Klebe.The movie is not mean to be taken seriously so just go to see it with a open mind. Come to Don't Kill It with low expectations and you probably won't be disappointed. In fact, one of the funniest scenes in the entire movie is Lundgren giving this speech about why he needs to help catch this demon while these two cops are trying to remove him from the Chief's office. Well paced, decent special effects, charming and funny in some scenes.
Let's just say that Noah Baumbach isn't knocking on Lundgren's door to star in his next movie.

Woodley is a classic gunslinger, a demon hunter with a dark past and the lone voice of reason in a small Mississippi town – except, he’s never quite as cool as he thinks he is and, but for the fact that he’s the only guy who knows what’s really going on, he causes more problems than he solves. If you're an 80's fan or a Dolph Lundgren fan, you will enjoy this movie.
